Information

The Information desk is available for answering inquiries and providing help to those in need of it. Please feel free to ask the staff for assistance.
To confirm information prior to your arrival, please inquire by calling the airport at the following number.
For departing passengers, staff are available to help you get to your check-in counter once you have arrived at the airport. To request such assistance, please telephone the airport in advance.

Domestic Terminal

There are desks at both the north and south sides of Arrivals on the 1st floor, and another information booth is near the Security Checkpoint (South) on the 2nd floor.

How to Get to Fukuoka Airport Information Center

Here are directions to the 1st floor Information Center by public transportation.

  • Coming by Subway Directions to Fukuoka Airport International Terminal 1F Information

    Get off the Fukuoka City Subway at Fukuoka-kuko (Airport) Station. For the Domestic Airport, after coming through the subway ticket gate, you can take an elevator to any floor of the airport.

    • There are left and right ticket gates. After getting out of the elevator, head to the right and proceed through the ticket gate to reach the Domestic Passenger Terminal.

    • After going through the ticket gate, please go up the elevator in the atrium to the 1st floor.

    • Information / South (Coming from the subway, it is convenient to use Information / South)

      After getting out of the elevator, proceed to the right. Follow the building as it curves to the left for about 50 meters, and you will see Information / South.
      The information and services available here include: taking inquiries about the airport or flights, lending wheelchairs or strollers, recharging batteries in powered wheelchairs, taking questions on a writing-board, and guiding you to airline counters or modes of transportation.
      *Service-dog restrooms, and Tourist Information for Disabled or Elderly Visitors are only available in the vicinity of Information Desk North. Please be aware that these services are not available near Information Desk South.

      Get out of the elevator and proceed to the right for about 5 minutes (300 meters). Pass by all the airline counters, and just past the rental lounges, you will see Information / North on the left.
      Here, the same services as those offered at Information / South are available. In addition, near Information / North, you can find service-dog restrooms, and Tourist Information for Disabled or Elderly Visitors.

    Coming by Subway Directions to Fukuoka Airport International Terminal 1F Information

    Get off the Fukuoka City Subway at Fukuoka-kuko (Airport) Station. You will arrive at the Domestic Terminal, so head for the International Terminal on the free, low-floor shuttle bus.

      There are left and right ticket gates. To use the escalator to the International Terminal, head to the left and proceed through the ticket gate. Follow the signs indicating the International Terminal. Please take the 1st escalator, then the 2nd escalator to Exit 1A on the right. Just after getting off the escalator, you will see a shuttle bus stop (South Bus Stop).

      To use the elevator, head to the right and proceed through the ticket gate. Between the escalators on your left and right, there is an elevator for wheelchair users. Take this elevator to the 1st floor.

    • Get out of the elevator and proceed to the left. Follow the building as it curves to the left for about 50 meters to Entrance A. Exit from Entrance A and proceed to the right to arrive at the International Terminal Shuttle Bus Stop (South).

    • The International Terminal Shuttle Bus Stop (South)

      The shuttle bus to the International Terminal (a free, low-floor bus) runs approximately every 5 minutes. Take the shuttle for about 10 minutes, you will arrive at the International Terminal.

    • Coming from the Domestic Terminal, the shuttle bus arrives slightly to the south of the International Terminal. After getting off the bus, proceed to the left and enter the building in the middle at the International Terminal Central Entrance.

    • Once inside the building, to your right, you will find the General Information Center. Information and services are available here, such handling inquiries about the airport or flights, lending wheelchairs or strollers, charging batteries in powered wheelchairs, taking questions on a writing-board, as well as leading you to your airline counter or mode of transportation.

    There are information centers at the 1F Arrival Lobby and 3F Departure Lobby (parking-lot side). If there is no need for information, you may proceed by elevator to the 3rd floor International Terminal Central Entrance. Another information booth is near the 3F elevator.

  • From Your Bus Stop to Fukuoka Airport Domestic Terminal 1F Information

    Besides local lines such as Nishitetsu Bus and Royal Bus, highway buses will also take you to Fukuoka Airport from distant locations.

      Those using Fukuoka city’s local lines (Nishitetsu Bus and Royal Bus) will arrive at the Domestic Passenger Terminal / South. This is also where you will get on the bus to leave the airport. Get on or off the free shuttle bus for the International Terminal at Bus Stop 1 (on the Domestic Terminal / South side) or Bus Stop 15 (on the Domestic Terminal / North side).

      Get off the bus at the Domestic Passenger Terminal Building / South Bus Stop, and head to the right, facing the building. Enter the terminal building at Entrance A, and immediately to your left, you will see Information / South.
      At this information Center, you can ask about the airport or flights, borrow wheelchairs and strollers, recharge your wheelchair's batteries, ask questions using a writing-board, and receive help getting to airline counters or modes of transportation.

      Enter the terminal building and proceed directly to the right (for about 6 minutes on foot). Pass by all the airline counters, and just past the rental lounges, you will see Information / North on the left. Here, the same services as those offered at Information / South are available. In addition, near Information / North, you can use service-dog restrooms, and Tourist Information for Disabled or Elderly Visitors.

      Coming by highway bus or the International Terminal Shuttle Bus, you will arrive at the Domestic Terminal / North (Bus Stops 16 & 17). Board the bus from here to leave the airport. Get on or off the free shuttle bus for the International Terminal at Bus Stop 1 (on the Domestic Terminal / South side) or Bus Stop 15 (on the Domestic Terminal / North side).

      Get off the bus at the Domestic Passenger Terminal Building / North Bus Stop. Enter the terminal building at Entrance G, and Information / North is about 30 meters to your left. Here you can ask about the airport or flights, borrow wheelchairs or strollers, recharge batteries for powered wheelchairs, ask questions on a writing-board, and receive guidance to your airline counter or means of transportation. In addition, near Information / North, you can find service-dog restrooms, and Tourist Information for Disabled or Elderly Visitors.

    ≪Leaving the Airport by Bus≫
    For those seeking assistance, information desks are set up on the 1st floor (one each near the Arrivals / North and Arrivals / South) as well as an information booth on the 2nd floor. Please feel free to ask staff here for assistance. They will guide you to your bus stop.

      The Nishitetsu Highway bus ticket sales counter is on the left-hand side of Entrance G, located at the north end of the Domestic Terminal. In addition to touch-panel ticket machines, there is also a manned ticket counter.

    Coming by Bus to Fukuoka Airport International Terminal 1F Information

    Besides local lines such as Nishitetsu Bus and Royal Bus, highway buses will also take you to Fukuoka Airport from distant locations.

      Coming by local bus from Fukuoka city (Nishitetsu Bus and Royal Bus), you will arrive on the 1st floor of the International Passenger Terminal. Coming on highway buses from Kokura or beyond Fukuoka prefecture, you will arrive on either the 1st floor or the 3rd floor of the International Terminal. However, all buses board on the 1st floor.

      Passengers taking group tour buses will arrive on the 3rd floor of the International Terminal. Upon entering the building, you will see the Information desk in front of you.

      The shuttle bus from the Domestic Terminal will arrive near the center of the International Terminal. Get off the bus, face the building, proceed to the left, then enter at the International Terminal Central Entrance. On the right side, you will see the General Information Center.

      Easy-to-read monitors with large letters are set up near the 1F International Arrivals 3 & 4.

      The Bus Information desk is on the 1st floor near the International Terminal Central Entrance. Please inquire here for details about taking the bus. To purchase highway bus tickets, please come here or use the touch-panel ticket vending machine.

  • Coming by Taxi to Fukuoka Airport International Terminal 1F Information

    At the Domestic Passenger Terminal, there are 2 platforms for disabled passengers (5 & 14). Use these spaces to take your time getting in and out of your vehicle.

      Designed for the disabled, this barrier-free space is flat. When arriving at the south side of the terminal building, please use Priority Platform 5.

      Get out of the taxi, and head to the left, facing the building. Enter the terminal building at Entrance A, and Information / South is directly to your left.
      Here you can find out about the airport and flights, borrow wheelchairs or strollers, recharge wheelchair batteries, ask questions on a writing-board, as well as receive assistance getting to your airline counter or mode of transportation.

      Head to the right from Priority Platform 5 to Entrance B. Enter the terminal building here and proceed to the right for about 5 minutes.     Leaving the Airport by Taxi

    • Taxis are waiting at stand 3 on the South side and stand 12 on the North side of the terminal.
    • Please feel free to seek assistance at the information desks set up on the 1st floor (one each near Arrivals / North and Arrivals / South). They will guide you to your taxi stand.
    • To use a “welfare taxi”, you must make advance reservations (as a rule, you should contact the taxi company directly). Please inquire at Information on the 1st floor about how to do this.
    • If coming by a taxi for the disabled, please ask your taxi company to use Priority Platform 5 on the South side or Priority Platform 14 on the North side of the Domestic Terminal.
    Coming by Taxi to the International Terminal 1st Floor Information Counter

    Those coming to the airport by taxi should disembark on the 1st floor.

    • Upon entering the airport via the main entrance you will see General Information on your right. Here you can inquire about the airport or flights, borrow wheelchairs or strollers, recharge wheelchair batteries, ask questions on a writing-board, as well as receive help getting to your airline counter or means of transportation.
      The 1st floor is the Arrivals Lobby and the 3rd floor is the Departures Lobby. Those who do not need to visit Arrivals can go straight to the 3rd floor Departures Lobby via the elevators, which can be found at the central entrance. There is also an Information Center on the 3rd floor near the elevators.

    Leaving the Airport by Taxi

    • You will find a taxi stand close by when you exit the airport through the main entrance. Those requiring assistance should inform the Information Counter (located on the 1st and 3rd floors). Staff are available to help you get to the taxi stand, and provide support until you board.
      Special welfare taxis must be requested ahead in time via the taxi company. (As a rule, customers should book themselves). For help booking, please inquire at the Information Counter (on either the 1st or 3rd floor).

  • Coming by Private Car, Directions to Fukuoka Airport Domestic Terminal 1F Information

    When coming by car, please use the Domestic Terminal Multistory Parking Lot, located next to the Domestic Terminal Building. There are 17 spaces reserved for disabled parking, and these are available for a half-price discount from standard parking rates. Since parking is free for the first 30 minutes, please make use of this parking lot for your send-offs and pick-ups.
    The 1st and 3rd floors of the Domestic Terminal Multistory Parking Lot have multi-purpose restrooms equipped with ostomate toilets.

      After showing your Physical Disability Certificate (*1) on camera, you will be issued a disabled parking discount.

    Disability Discounts

    Upon presenting your Disability Handbook (*1), you will receive a 50% discount on parking.

    Applying for a Disabled Parking Discount
    Please use one of the following methods.

    • At the Multistory Parking Lot Entrance Intercom
      To apply at the entrance intercom, please display your Physical Disability Certificate (*1) by following the staff directions to show it on camera. You will be issued a discount parking ticket.
    • Prepaid Parking Ticket Machine
      If you didn’t apply for a discount at the entrance gate, you can still apply for it at a prepaid parking ticket machine. Press the intercom on the right side of the machine and display your Physical Disability Certificate (*1) on the camera. You will receive a discounted parking ticket.

    • At the Exit
      When paying at the exit gate, you can apply for the disabled parking discount. Press the intercom and show your Physical Disability Certificate (*1) to the staff, then your parking ticket will be discounted.
    • Pay Later
      When the Domestic Terminal Multistory Parking Lot is unstaffed (from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am the next day), please ask about receiving a half-price discount after paying the full parking fee. However, receipts are required for later-date discount.

    • There are 7 parking spaces on the 3rd floor and 10 parking spaces on the 5th floor for the disabled.

    • Press the intercom in the middle of the disabled parking space and a staff member will come to lower the lock plate. Once the lock plate is lowered, please park in this space. If you have a Disabled Parking Certificate issued by a local authority, please hang it on the rear-view mirror. (For example: Fukuoka Prefecture’s Fukuoka Magokoro Parking Certificate)

      On the intercom in the disabled parking space, there is a button designed for those with speech impairments who cannot hear or talk easily. Push this button to call for a staff member.

    • During unstaffed hours (23:00-7:00), please use the disabled parking spaces on the 3rd floor. You can also use the "Magokoro Parking Space" next to the disabled parking spaces on the 3rd floor.
      Please hang your "Fukuoka Magokoro Parking Usage Card" on the rearview mirror of your car.

      When Parked on the 1st Floor When crossing the street from the Multistory Parking Lot, facing the left side of the building, please enter the terminal at Entrance E.
      When Parked on the 3rd Floor There is a barrier-free passageway connecting the 3rd floor of the parking lot with the 2nd floor of the Domestic Terminal. Cross this passageway, and in front of the entrance, on the right, is a wheelchair-accessible elevator. Take it to the 1st floor and you will arrive at Entrance E. (Passengers who have already checked in don’t need to go to the 1st floor, but may proceed directly to the Security Checkpoints on the 2nd floor.)

      From entrance E, head about 90 meters to the right, and you will see Information / North on your left.

    Coming by Private Car, Directions to Fukuoka Airport International Terminal 1F Information

    If you are coming by private car, please use the International terminal parking lot adjacent to the International terminal. There are 16 spaces reserved for disabled parking, and these are available for a half-price discount from standard parking rates. It's free of charge for vehicles leaving within 30 minutes from entering, so please use the parking lot when seeing off or picking up.
    The 1st floors of the International Terminal Multistory Parking Lot have multi-purpose restrooms equipped with ostomate toilets.
    Reservations for International terminal parking lot are accepted.

    • There are total 16 parking spaces for the disabled : 12 spaces on the 1st floor and 2 spaces on the 3rd floor (Reserved area) of the multilevel parking lot, as well as 2 spaces on the surface parking lot. Please park where the ♿ (wheelchair) marks are.

    • As there are locking plates at the parking spaces for the disabled on the 1st floor of multilevel parking lot, please press the intercom on the terminal building side to have a staff get the locking plate down. If you have a Disabled Parking Certificate issued by a local authority, please hang it on the rear-view mirror. (For example: Fukuoka Prefecture’s Fukuoka Magokoro Parking Certificate)

    • When the parking lot is unstaffed (from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am), please use the disabled parking spaces on the 1st floor. You can also use the Magokoro Parking Space near the parking spaces for the disabled on the first floor. Please hang the Fukuoka Magokoro Parking Certificate on your vehicle’s rear-view mirror.

    • There are 2 crosswalks from the parking lot to the International Passenger Terminal Building. After crossing the road, please enter in middle at the International Terminal Central Entrance.

    • Once inside the building, to your right, you will find the General Information Center. Information and services are available here, such handling inquiries about the airport or flights, lending wheelchairs or strollers, recharging batteries in powered wheelchairs, taking questions on a writing-board, as well as leading you to your airline counter or mode of transportation.

      There are information centers at the 1F Arrival Lobby and 3F Departure Lobby (parking-lot side). If there is no need for information, you may proceed by elevator to the 3rd floor International Terminal Central Entrance. Another information booth is near the 3F elevator.

Departure Procedures Flow

The Domestic Terminal

  • 1. Check-in (Boarding Procedures)
    Location: 1F Each Airline Counter (Or check-in prior to the flight on the Internet)

    Please allow enough time to complete check-in procedures, as indicated by the airline at the time of your reservation. Also, please complete any procedures for checking in your luggage.

  • 2. Security Checks
    Location: 2F Security Checkpoints

    Security checks will be conducted for every passenger and all carry-on luggage. If you need assistance with this process, you may use the priority lanes. Please feel at ease as you proceed.

  • 3. Boarding
    Location: 2F

    After passing through the security checkpoint, and checking the boarding gate number on your boarding pass, please wait for your flight in the area of your gate. For flights departing from Gates 81 and 82, please proceed to the Departure Bus Lounge on the 1st floor.

Monitors placed on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Domestic Passenger Terminal indicate waiting times to go through Security (there are 2 checkpoints, 1 each at the North and South ends). This information is also displayed on the Top screen of the Fukuoka Airport website. Please check how crowded they are, and allow yourself enough time to go through the security check.

The International Terminal

  • 1. Check-in (Boarding Procedures)
    Location: 3F International Terminal Departure Lobby Check-in Counters (A-M)

    Please present your passport and boarding pass here. Please be sure to allow enough time to complete check-in procedures, as indicated by the airline at the time of your reservation.

  • 2. Departures (Security Checks & Immigration)
    Location: 3F Departures

    Following check-in, please proceed to Departures. After going through a Security checkpoint, please proceed to Immigration. Please present your passport and boarding pass at both Security and Immigration.
    If you need assistance with this process, you may use the priority lanes. Please feel at ease as you proceed.

  • 3. Boarding
    Locations: 2F or 3F

    After checking the boarding gate number on your boarding pass, please wait for your flight in the area of your gate. While waiting for your flight, why not visit the duty-free shops?

Baggage Delivery

You may have your baggage delivered from the airport to your home or hotel.
