Public Transport System

Besides the Fukuoka City Subway, directly connected to the Domestic Terminal, highway and local buses from inside and beyond Fukuoka Prefecture serve both the Domestic and International Terminals.
If you take the subway from Hakata Station, in the center of Fukuoka, you will arrive at the domestic terminal in about 5 minutes, and it will take about 10 minutes from Tenjin station.

Access

By Car

You can use the Fukuoka City Expressway to access the area around Fukuoka Airport. Please check the Fukuoka Kitakyushu Expressway Public Corporation website (https://www.fk-tosikou.or.jp/english/) for information on entrances and exits.
In addition, there are parking lots for both the Domestic and International Terminals.

If you are traveling by subway to Fukuoka Airport, please get off at Fukuoka Airport Station in the Domestic Terminal Building, and then take the free shuttle bus to the International Terminal Building.

Check-in is required to board the plane.
The airline check-in counters are on the 1F of the Domestic Terminal and the 3F of the International Terminal
You should go to the check-in counter of your aviation company of to the automated check-in machines to complete the boarding procedures in advance
Please check with your aviation company about the size and number of bags you can carry on the plane.
When checking in baggage, please complete procedures at your aviation company's counter.
Check-in must be completed before the time of departure. Please confirm the check-in deadline with your aviation company and make sure you have time for any possible inconvenience.
*If you have already checked in with a 2D barcode or IC card, and you do not want to check in your baggage, please proceed directly to the security checkpoint. No check-in procedure is required at the counter.

If you want to see people off, you can come to the front of each security checkpoint entrance, and if you want to pick people up, you can come to the outside of each arrival gate.

There are also observation decks in the domestic and international terminals where you can see up-close the scenery of airplanes taking off and landing.

At Fukuoka Airport, stores and services are available for everyone, whether or not they fly.
Please feel free to come and visit us for meals, shopping, and meetings.
