Here are the procedures when departing from Fukuoka Airport on an international flight.

Check-in (3rd Floor Airline Counters)

During boarding procedures for international flights, please present your airline ticket or e-ticket and passport.

Starting times of boarding procedures for international flights will vary according to the flight and to the airline. Please check with your airline.

You are advised to complete the check-in procedure early to allow sufficient time in case the counters are busy.

Baggage Check-in
- Any baggage exceeding the allowable size*2 or number of carry-on baggage must be checked in at the airline baggage check-in counters.
- All checked in baggage will be subject to X-ray inspection in front of the airline counters prior to baggage check-in. You will be issued a baggage claim tag.
*1 The allowable size of carry-on baggage are dependent on the aircraft model. Please contact the airlines for details.
*2 Passengers are not allowed to carry scissors, knives, sharp objects, baseball bats and similar items on board the aircraft. Please check in any restricted items at the baggage check-in counters.
*3 Dangerous goods such as combustible substances, high-pressure gases and flammable liquids cannot be checked in nor carried on board the aircraft.
*4 There are certain restrictions on liquids you can carry on board. You are allowed to carry liquids/gels that are stored in containers of 100ml or smaller and placed in a re-sealable, transparent plastic bag (the total of the length and width of the bag not exceeding 40cm). Containers larger than these dimensions are not accepted on board, and must be placed in your check-in baggage.

Security Checks (3rd Floor Departure Area/Security Checkpoint)

Baggage inspection and body scanning are conducted to prevent hijacking attempts.

Show your boarding pass and submit your carry-on baggage for X-ray inspection. Each passenger will be asked to walk through the metal detector gate. Please present the transparent plastic bag containing the liquids to the security personnel separately from your other baggage.

Departure Examination

Present your passport and boarding pass at the departure examination counter.

Boarding (3rd Floor Boarding Area/Boarding Gates)

Check your boarding gate and flight number indicated on your boarding pass and follow the directional signage to your boarding gate.

At the boarding gate, follow the guidance of the airline staff. Your boarding pass and passport will be checked for boarding.
