Full opening of the extended area of the international north concourse (December 1, 2023)
The extended area of the north concourse of Fukuoka Airport's international terminal building, which was partially opened to the public last October, will be fully opened to the public on Friday, December 1, 2023.

Boarding spot information
Until now, passengers using Spot 10 (parking area) on the north side of the international terminal required to travel by bus to the aircraft and then use the stairs to board and disembark.
By extending the concourse and installing new passenger boarding bridges (PBBs) at six of these locations, passengers will be able to move smoothly from the boarding lounge to the aircraft at 12 of the 16 locations in the international flight area, regardless of the weather (the same applies when disembarking).

About the boarding area
The boarding lounge area on the third floor will have a wooden ceiling reminiscent of the veranda of a Japanese house, allowing passengers to relax and enjoy a traditional Japanese atmosphere until just before boarding. There will also be a small garden area with plants representing the four seasons.
In the tsuboniwa area, tables made of Fukuoka cypress, chairs decorated with Hakata woven fabric, and lobby chairs with andon lanterns made of Okawa braid will be installed.

About commercial facilities
Opening in the area on the same day will be KOKUMIN, a drugstore that also sells travel goods to make your trip more comfortable, and KRAZY MEAT by ODA CHIKUSAN, a dining bar where you can enjoy dishes and snacks made with fresh Kyushu ingredients, along with carefully selected local sake and shochu, while overlooking the runway.
Additionally, in February 2024, THE MATCHA TOKYO, a cafe where you can enjoy high-quality organic matcha, is scheduled to open for the first time in Kyushu.

We are steadily progressing with construction work on the expansion and renovation of Fukuoka Airport's international terminal building, etc., aiming for its opening in March 2025.
We will continue to work to create an airport that can welcome many customers in a comfortable environment.
