About Security Check Point

By expanding Security Check Point and introducing Smart Lane, we will approximately double the processing capacity, making inspections smoother and more stress-free.

Smart Lane

Smart Lane
  • Up to four people can get ready at the same time, and those who are ready can proceed to security first.
  • Trays carrying baggage will be carried automatically, so there is no need for customers to carry them themselves.
  • Using an X-ray CT inspection device, the computer can be inspected without having to be removed.
  • By allocating baggage that requires re-inspection to a separate lane, inspected baggage can be collected more smoothly.
  • After being returned, the trays are automatically transported to the entrance side (automatic tray return).

About departure duty-free shops

The duty-free shop area will be expanded by about four times (to about 6,000 m2), and the range of products available will be significantly expanded, including fashion, cosmetics, and alcohol. In addition, the duty-free shops will be located along the route of passengers, creating a walk-through style of store, allowing passengers to enjoy duty-free shopping while moving around after passing through passport control.
*Details such as participating brands will be announced at a later date.
*Food (confectionery), miscellaneous goods, home appliances, etc. will continue to be sold at the current store.

About the food court

A new food court will be established in the duty-free shop area so that passengers can take their time enjoying Kyushu and Fukuoka cuisine after passing through immigration. The food court will have a wide variety of stores, including restaurants where passengers can experience the food culture of Fukuoka and Kyushu before departing. With the addition of eight restaurants, the number of restaurants in the area after passing through immigration will be three times as many as before the renovation.
