International Terminal Grand Opening on Friday, March 28th

International Passenger Terminal Building, which is currently under construction, is scheduled to have its grand openingonFriday, March 28, 2025.

From groundbreaking to grand opening

Grand opening overview
On Friday, March 28th, Security Check Point and immigration area will be relocated and expanded, and a new duty-free shop and food hall, approximately four times the size of the previous one, will open in the area after security and immigration.

Security Checkpoint
By expanding Security Check Point and introducing Smart Lane, we will secure approximately double the processing capacity of the previous system, enabling smooth and stress-free inspections. We will also introduce priority lanes, a first for Kyushu.

7 lanes: Smart Lane 7 vehicles (6 lanes before maintenance: Smart Lane 0 vehicles)
Priority Lane
This lane is primarily for First Class and Business Class passengers and passengers requiring special assistance, and allows them to undergo security inspection on a priority basis.
New Duty Free Shop
The new duty-free store will be approximately four times larger than the previous store and will take advantage of this to stock 44 new brands*, including cosmetics and fashion brands - a first for a domestic airport duty-free store - in order to meet a wide range of customer needs.
The brand boutique will be the first at the airport to specialize in Japanese brands, and the cosmetics area will carry a wide range of cosmetics and fragrances, from well-known domestic and international brands to up-and-coming brands such as lifestyle cosmetics, welcoming you with a variety of unique and popular products.
