Flying drones near airports is prohibited by law.

At Fukuoka Airport, the flight of drones over the premises and surrounding areas is prohibited under the "Law on the Prohibition of Flight of Small Unmanned Aircraft, etc. in the Airspace Surrounding Areas of Important Facilities" (Small Unmanned Aircraft Prohibition Act) and the Aviation Act.
* On March 20, 2025 and April 21, 2025, some of the no-fly zones for drones and other aircraft around Fukuoka Airport will be changed due to the expansion of the site for the additional runway and the opening of the additional runway.

Additionally, Fukuoka Airport's operating regulations prohibit bringing drones into the airport without a valid reason. In particular, turning on drones on the premises is strictly prohibited, as it may have a significant impact on airport operations. If you are transporting a drone through the airport, please keep it in a case at all times.

For more information on flight bans, please see the following documents and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism website.
